David Greenberg is the President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert, which was honored as a "Nonprofit of the Year" in 2017! Here he is receiving the award and meeting with California Assemblyman Chad Mayes.
"Big Brothers Big Sisters was nominated by Assembly Republican leader Chad Mayes. He acknowledged the group's 20 years of service in the Coachella Valley and the organization's expansion in the last three years in a resolution at the event.
"Since 2014, the group has grown by 153 percent and has been recognized nationally by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, according to the resolution.
"Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert's mission is to pair children ages six to 18 with an adult mentor who can establish an enduring relationship with the child and help him or her achieve academic and personal success while avoiding risky situations."
